The star
To introduce my subject I could not resist the attraction of the lettering used for the title of this “plate” and here is the acrostic and what it revealed to me.
The Star always orientates the awakned spirit...Lacan reveals that ‘I can only see from one spot but I am regarded from everywhere’. The symbol revealed by C it shows fufilement and is one of the keys of the higher Science which opens the way to the secret world. It is one of the most powerful symbols, the one of magic, capturing and mobilising dark strengths. It carries a benefactory influx which conects Hygie, the godess of health; she then becomes the symbol of vitality and health by showing at each corner the letters UGEIA. The Pythagoreans made their favourite symbol out of it and used it in their written works as their final salutation in latin “Vale” meaning “take care”. Being the source of light it diffuses it’s light, breaks the darkness and shows the way. On the ocean of knowledge it is without doubt the lighthouse which prevents running aground and keeps the boat from shore... But which echoes does it wake in me? I let myself go into its slip stream and the following consideration came to mind: A star with five arms, the human being with five senses, the C is five years old...A man can be held in its arms (the head and the four limbs are its branches)
5 is the number of the human microcosm. Oh dear I am suddenly embarrassed ! Indeed the dictionary of symbols states that the number five represents the number of perfection. Can I admit that human beings are perfect ? Of course not ! I have a moment of doubt but then suddenly all is clear : this means that man – which I am-is meant to become perfect ! That’s it ! The paradox is left behind and the message is clear ! Further in my enquiries I discover that the number five is also the symbol of the unequal union, it is logical ! What about the letter G placed in the centre of the star which makes it become a blazing one ? G for geometry but also for Grand Architect of the universe, G for gnosis, G for generation, G for genius, G for glory, G for gamma (third letter of the Greek alphabet which looks like a square, I am 3 years old !) But isn’t G the fifth consonant of our alphabet (I’m five years old) and here again the number five appears, nearly haunting because of its presence...Five is also the number which allows someone to accede to the golden number, key to the construction of the edifice. What if in geometry, thanks to a square and the compass, we can join an oblong, the number 3 from A and number 5 from C, we will find that the construction of the pentagon is the easiest....
What about the letter g of the hieroglyphic alphabet represented by the symbol in the centre of which is a triangle on a blue background ?
But coming back to the star : in astronomy, a classification of categories has been done allowing to appreciate the spectre of these stars their luminosity...etc But the sun – which is also a star and what star !- is referenced by the astronomers as belonging to the G5 ! How strange ! A coincidence you might say ? Maybe ! Astronomy teaches us that the galaxies form the immensity of the universe, each galaxy carrying 100 billion stars. Our star is also the symbol of universality and the tool which allows C after having been refined from A, to capture and restore balance around it, with equality, warmth of fraternity and the going backwards and forth of the waves in a movement of liberty. What can one say about the position of the temple star ? Must one see a correlation with the pole star which is the only star lined with axe of rotation of the earth ? It takes me back automatically to the G of the celestial vault, the original centre, passage of the universe and what I would call the teleportation passage between above and bellow...The star is omnipresent even in the profane world. It illustrates with strength certain popular expressions. We do say « he was born under a lucky (or unlucky) star » « He thinks he’s a star !»
What can we say about the star of Bethlehem so present in the context of Christ’s birth, the supreme event ! Some astronomers have studied it and here are their conclusions : « It can only be the triple conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn under the sign of Pisces, a rare phenomenon when two planets are lined together with the earth and in the Pisces constellation, this takes place three times in the year. For more than 4000 years, it happened in the year 7 BC more preciously on the 7th of April , the 3rd of October and the 4th of December. Must we see in this affirmation the exact definition of the Nativity date, are these three events in the same year giving us the signs that the three wise men followed ? Not forgetting Mother nature who has an intimate relationship with stars : In the plant world don’t we say : the aster means « trustworthy love » « reflection »or even « long and happy life » in the language of flowers. In one of the works I looked at, I discovered this significance which on its own crowns my research, just listen « The love I feel for you is more important than the one you feel for me »...- In the animal world : the starfish – in the mineral world : a small fossil in the shape of a star with 5 branches (which in fact is a small part of the tentacle of an animal that lived in the ocean that once covered the earth). And if you take a walk in the vineyards of the jurassian village named « Star » you will find a real bijou. Strangely enough you will only succeed in finding it if it is raining ! I am actually suprised myself ! It is the rain (movement from top to bottom) which will help reveal this little star (movement from bottom to top) in the middle of the vine. Is this a coincidence ? In astrology the star corresponds to the fifth house, again the number 5...In the Marseillais Tarot card game she is the 17th arcane card. It represent the intellect and intuition which positively influences anything which has a spiritual aspect. It also illustrates the outside world and communication. In other words as the salutary light, it access the devil and the house of God, two figures with unfortunate interpretations. She precedes the Moon, the Sun, and the day of Judgement to show the path. 17Th arcane card as I was saying : but if I add 1 and 7 I end up with 8 which is the number that represents cosmic balance.
The same as the horizontal 8 which symbolises in maths the sign of the never ending ! Just like the tarot card 8 represents Justice. But in the Celtic tarot of the trees we find the star as a symbol of the rowan tree. Allow me to tell you a story : in this divine game, the rowan benefits from the reputation and the protection of enchantments. The Celtic name « rowan » is linked to the Nordic one « runa » a charm. The sticks on which the runes were written were made of rowan. This wood was also use to find metals like the hazel twig is used to find water. The rowan played an important role in druidic ceremonies and still today these beliefs have given rise to new practices in Great Britain, such as the fixing of rowan branches to stables to protect the animals, or the carrying of rowan twigs to protect oneself from curses. All these explanations become clear with what will follow : If you examine a red berry from a rowan tree you will discover that it has contrary to a lot of fruit a five branch star, a pentagram, symbol of magical protection. Isn’t this amazing ? In the tarot of the templers the star is also the 17th card and one says that there is only hope in the shadow of a dream...Here again this arcane comes after the tumults of the XV and XVI century cards which are those of the devil and the house of God !
The light of the star is not an illusion but a reality, which appears to announce the end of the trials and the hope of renewal based on the certitude which only destiny knows about. To have trust in one’s star is to have trust in a new life when everything seems to have come to an end. The unexpected event might be surprising but is something positive and should be considered as harmony, protection and light. This mystery represents a woman who is spilling water on the ground and she inspires the most beautiful realisations because she is the link between the sky and the earth. The aim of the arcane is love, in other words the giving of oneself to the extreme extent, without which one cannot reach the real initiation. One must give before receiving and the star knows that, it says it and does it. When Kant used to say « there are two things which give me the impression of absolution : the spectacle of the starry sky and the sight of an uninterested action ». Suddenly in my thoughts came the composition of the European flag ! All of those stars on a blue background just like the celestial vault under which are living, disposed in a circle as a beautiful chain of union, each star representing each nation united ! ! ! But luck does not exist does it ?
The A only knows that B is the symbol of femininity corresponding to mercury, the living essence which penetrates people ; and C discovers the column J the symbol of masculinity corresponding to sulphur. By this elevation she reaches her androgen aspect which allows her to ally female sensitivity and masculine energy. Indeed the combination of Mercury and sulphur makes nitrogen in other words C, the blazing star which is the perfect illustration. C is in charge of making the star blaze, to use wisely the time for reflection and action, always aware of oneself. All inner progress comes with the awakening of one’s consciousness. Do you know the alchemist Irénée Philalèthe ? He introduces himself in this way : « I am an adept philosopher and I will name myself by no other name than Philatèthe which means « amateur of the truth ». In his manual “Warrior of the Light”, Paulo Coelho says : « The warrior of the light has learned from the stars, that only the inner explosion allows one to blaze ». For then my sister aren’t we all in one way or another the daughter of Philalèthe, in search of the truth and warriors of the light ? Aren’t we all stars shining down from the vault over the cosmic ocean from which we take the energy necessary for our progression ? Aren’t we all atoms floating around a middle, held together by electrons ? Let’s carry on working, without rest, Glory to the work ! And I shall end with an acknowledge to Edgard Poe who said : « The universe is alive because our atoms are worried ». If you have any remarks to make click on this email and I shall transmit to S.CHANTAL who is the author of this piece.
