It is in 1732 that the first scottish lodge was established at Bordeaux, one of the most ancient and influencial massonnic centers of Farnce. The members were Scottish and English franc massons. The high ranks were formed in the years 1738 and 1740, it was only in 1761 that Stephan Morin from Bordeaux obtained the right to carry the grades over the atlantic to America.
